In early 1994, Manowar entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the loudest band in the world with 129.5 decibels of power. Not content with this, in 2008 they broke their own record by reaching 139 decibels during a festival in Germany.

 

 

 In addition, that same year they played for five hours and one minute at the annual Kaliakra Rock Festival in the Bulgarian town of Kavarna, beating the previous world record for the longest heavy metal performance in history, which they themselves had set a year earlier at the same festival.
